SOAR-Luxembourg joined the SOAR family in July 2014. Luxembourg is a landlocked country in Western Europe. Bordered by Belgium to the west and north, Germany to the east, and France to the south, Luxembourg comprises two principal regions: the Oesling in the north as part of the Ardennes massif, and the Gutland (“good country”) in the south. Luxembourg has a population of approximately 525,000 and an area of 2,586 square kilometers (998 square miles), making it one of the smallest sovereign nations in Europe. There is a small but growing Armenian population in Luxembourg.

Board of Directors:

Diana Darbinian

Diana was born in Gyumri to an Armenian father and a Greek mother. She is a graduate of the historic Armenian school Melkonian Educational Institute. In 2011, Diana obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Public and Business Administration from the State University of Cyprus and in 2013 became a Chartered Certified Accountant, a member of ACCA UK and ICPAC Cyprus. Amongst other awards, Diana was nominated the valedictorian of her class, has won a silver medal in the Pancyprian Accounting Olympics and has ranked first in Greek nationals worldwide in the ACCA Taxation Examination.

Diana currently lives in Luxembourg and holds the position of assistant vice president in a Luxembourg based company providing accountancy and fiduciary services. Diana is married and has one son. Diana is passionate about keeping the Armenian culture alive in the diaspora.

Diana is fluent in Armenian, English, Greek and Russian. She enjoys reading, surfing the internet and traveling.

Vis Bagiazidou

Vis is of Greek origin but has lived in Armenia over 15 years. She is a Mathematician by profession and has worked as a high school teacher for many years. Vis moved to Cyprus in 1996 together with her family. She has resided in Luxembourg for the past year.

Vis is Fluent in Armenian, Russian and Greek. She enjoys reading, watching TV and swimming.

Artem Khachatryan

Artem was born in the Ukraine and raised in Cyprus. After obtaining his B.Sc. degree, he moved to Luxembourg with his family. Artem specializes in fiduciary and corporate services, with many years of experience in the industry. Currently, Artem holds the position of compliance officer at the Royal Bank of Canada in Luxembourg.

Artem is fluent in Armenian, English, Greek and Russian. He enjoys football, watching movies and traveling. Artem is married and has one son.
