SOAR’s Mentoring Program (MP), established in May 2014, is overseen internationally by SOAR-Atlanta
and SOAR-Milan. The MP is designed for Chapter Board members who are interested in having an impact in the life of an orphaned Armenian child by providing insight, direction, motivation, support, and education. The purpose of the MP is to provide fulfillment to both the mentor and the mentee. It is a way for the mentor to positively share education, wisdom, and life and career experiences with another individual who can benefit from the direct and personal interaction that is provided through mentorship. For those choosing to mentor another individual, the programs provide an opportunity to repay those that have positively affected their own life and to have the personal satisfaction that results from connecting with another individual in a productive manner. For the mentee, the MP provides the necessary leadership and direction that become the difference between personal success and failure in certain areas of their life.
