The Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR)

Child sponsorship allows you to personally connect with an orphaned child living in Armenia while making a lasting investment in his/her future. Your entire donation will go directly to your child! You will receive a photo and personal profile of the child you are sponsoring, updates on his/her health, and notes, drawings, or correspondence from your child, at least four times a year. In the case of young or physically disabled children, please understand that written correspondence may not be possible. You will also have the opportunity to send notes and small gifts to your child, all of which can be arranged through SOAR.

For a minimum of $50 a month, your monthly sponsorship provides items like tuition (or a savings account for future tuition), educational books and supplies, musical tutoring, medical care, and other items for your child's personal growth. You will also be given your child's birth date in case you would like to donate something special/extra on his/her birthday. Minimum one year commitments are required.

After you have completed the form, George S. Yacoubian, Jr., will begin the child matching process. Please do NOT specify a child by name, particularly if you are in the process of adopting from Armenia. This might jeopardize your adoption process. This sponsor program is not intended to provide prospective adopting parents with access to children they could potentially adopt. Designating a particular orphanage is acceptable.

Expect the matching process to take approximately four (4) weeks, after which we will ask you to make your initial monthly donation. Thank you!
