MOBILE EYE CARE PROJECT
Founded in 2020, SOAR’s Mobile Eye Care Project provides traveling vision care for children housed in Armenia’s residential childcare institutions (orphanages and special boarding schools), for children and families who receive services through specialized day centers throughout Armenia, and to children and adults in remote villages across Armenia. More serious cases are referred to Yerevan, where consultant Dr. Artashes Zilfyan conducts all subsequent examinations and treatment free of charge. Transportation to Yerevan for all follow-up appointments are provided by SOAR. Our mobile eye care clinic not only remedies basic vision problems onsite, but addresses serious eye care issues at no additional cost or inconvenience to thousands of patients across Armenia.
